Board of Directors

Sharon has worked with youth most of her life. As a teenager, she was involved in her church’s children's ministry.
Upon completion of high school, she attended Christ for the Nations Institute, in Dallas, Texas, where her love for the Word and for youth grew as she took courses in Biblical studies and children’s evangelism.
Sharon taught fifth grade at Comenius School for Creative Leadership from 2000 – 2012. While at Comenius, she was passionate about teaching her students academics as well as incorporating spiritual training into her classroom. Each year, she enjoyed taking her students on trips to New York, Washington D.C. and other places, where the students could experience what they were learning about academically and practice what they were learning spiritually.
Sharon launched HEAR His Heart Ministries in the fall of 2012, after leaving her teaching position at Comenius School. She targeted middle school students after seeing the struggle her former fifth graders experienced upon entering the middle school years. She felt compelled to create a safe place for young people to grow in their identity and to develop their leadership skills.
